Pork Nilaga with Kalabasa

Ingredients

 1/2 kg. pork

 6 to 7 cups water

 1 piece beef or pork cube

 1 small cabbage, chopped

 ¾ cup sliced onion leaves

 1 large potato, cubed

 1/2 medium squash (kalabasa), cubed

 1 medium onion, sliced

 2 tablespoons fish sauce(patis)

 1 tablespoon whole peppercorn


Instructions
1. Pour the water in a cooking pot(for fast cooking you can use pressure cooker). Bring to a boil.

2. Add the onion,whole peppercorn and beef/pork cubes.

3. Add the pork. Stir, cover, and simmer for 45 to 60 minutes.  When the pork gets tender.

4. Put-in squash(kalabasa) and potato. Cook for 7 minutes.

5. Add the cabbage and green onions. Continue to cook for 5 minutes.

6. Add the fish sauce, for flavoring according  to your taste. Stir. Cook for 1 to 3 minutes more.

7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve.
