Ingredients
14 oz whole fish or fillet cleaned
1/2 c cooking oil
1 pouch Mama Sita's sweet and sour sauce mix
3/4 c water
1 tbsp thinly sliced ginger
3 cloves crushed garlic
1 tbsp thinly sliced carrots
1 1/2 tbsp sliced red bell pepper
1 1/2 tbsp sliced onion
Salt to taste
Directions
1. Season fish with salt.
2. Fry in hot oil until crisp and golden brown.
3. Saute ginger, garlic. onions, carrots and bell pepper.
4. Pour dissolved Mama Sita's escabeche mix into sauted vegetables.
5. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Add fish and simmer for a minute.
7. Transfer it in a serving dish.
